The Kyoto painter Kijiro Ohta personally visited Gustav Klimt in Vienna in 1913 and introduced Klimt’s studio to Japan. In 2005, the author collaborated with engineer Herbert Rasinger in Vienna to compile a chronology of Ohta’s life. This chronology was published in the book Kijiro Ohta & Gustav Klimt – Zu Besuch bei Klimt, a joint publication by the Klimt Society (Klimt Atelier Preservation Association) and the LEOPOLD MUSEUM. The book has been translated into German, French, and English.
